1] Turn on Google Translate Prompt
You may find the issue in question due to disabled settings. In such cases, simply changing the settings and enabling it will resolve the issue. Here’s how you can do the same:

Once you do this, relaunch your browser and check if Google Translate is working or not.
2] Use Incognito mode
Extension sometimes interferes with Google’s Translate module, leading to its improper functioning. To solve the issue, you can either use Incognito mode or disable all the extensions, one at a time to see the one causing the issue. Open Chrome and click on three dots and select New Incognito Window. If you are using Edge, hit Ctrl+Shit+N to open InPrivate Window. In case you are using Firefox, click on the Menu button and select the New Private window. Now, open a foreign language webpage and check whether the language is automatically changed to English or not. If it is changed to English then the problem lies in your extension. In that case, just go ahead and disable extensions one by one to find out which one is the culprit. Once you find the one causing this error, either disable or remove it.
